Internet search leader Google has taken a giant leap into the mobile phone world. Google phone contains a telecom carrier T-Mobile to compete Apple’s iphone. The T-Mobile G1 is powered by Google’s open source software Andriod and will be available in the United States market by October 22. Google has told that their new product will costs 179 Dollars in the US Market.
G1 is a bit thicker but narrower than Apple’s hot selling iphone , will go on sale in Great Britain in the early November and in other European countries served by T-Mobile , a subsidiary of German’s Deutsche Telekom AG, in early 2009. Google has said that their new phone G1 will power a new mobile internet of the future.
It has a 3.0 Megapixel camera with photo sharing capability and a slidable QWERTY key board, which is not in their competent iphone. Besides it provides a lot of features similar to iphone. It has a touch screen very similar to that of iphone, a tracker ball for free navigation, high speed internet browsing, Wi-Fi, email, sms texting etc.
More over the new phone is integrated with Google applications such as Google Maps and Gmail and has facilities for displaying videos from you tube , the video sharing site purchased by Google in 2006. oogle hopes G1’s open source software Android will eventually become the most dominant operating system for mobile phones and make hand sets compatible with network of multiple carriers.
